it's kinda noisy with the air pump, but no, i don't hear a knock, and i think i would. i think i just needed the re-assurance, so thanks for the feedback. and i think bubba or spike said there's some normal noise to the engine.

 

My dad had this old Buick. The motor made noise from about 2000 miles on.

another way to fix it is to turn up the radio. works great for my wife[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
