Green Sticker 50?
Anybody know of a reasonably priced 50 I can green sticker?
Tried looking at CARB's listings, but I don't know enough about the various "foreign" manufacturers to figure out which ones are which.
Trying to find a dealer is So Cal is a whole 'nother challenge.
Does it make that big of a difference? How hardcore are the rangers at Ocotillo, Dumont, Stoddard Valley, Hungry Valley, etc?
Thanks for the help....

Hello I ride Ocotillo all the time, i have a 50 without a green sticker and I have never once been bothered by the rangers. If you get busted for somthing else, they could check the bikes. But I dont think they would go looking if you didnt give them a reason too. Glamis is a whole nother story. They knocked on the RV door woke us up at 6 am to come outside so they could go over all the bikes. With those 60k sand rails the rangers are driving now, that money has to come from somewhere....

I have researched this a bit...and as far as I can tell, there is only one green stcker 50 ATV.... the Yamoto. None of the Japanses 50cc ATVs are green sticker, however, there 2-wheel dirtbike equivalents are. Yamoto is the only one that I have seen.

Yeah....here in Cali they classify off-road vehicle based on emmissions. A thing called C.A.R.B. (California Air Resources Board) will classify off road vehciles with either a Red or Green Sticker. Basically, different riding areas will have season for Red Sticker vehicles and Green sticker vehcile can be used year round. I think they base it on heavy time of year for smog...which is the spring and summer... so in essence Red stcker vehicles cannot be used in certain places during the spring summer. There are all kind of catches and loopholes based on year of vehicle etc.... like any law...it is there to confuse the heck out of people. Pretty much any new two-stroker will get a red sticker (writing on the wall for 2-strokes). But not all 4-Strokes get green stickers either..ie most of the 50cc quads. They can probably get a green sticker, but it costs the manufacturer money to submit it for a green sticker and they dont seem to be interested in doing so.

Green Sticker 50?
New 2006 Suzuki ATV 50 is a 4 stroke green sticker. I'm having issues with the rev limiter, the thing sputters real bad at mid-rev and only goes 8 mph with the clutch ring in place. Take that out and it goes 17 MPH but still sputters. A few of us are trying to find a cure but as of today, nothing new to report.

Green Sticker 50?
I posted that my new Suzuki 50 was green sticker because the dealer told me it was when I bought it. Turns out I got a red sticker from the DMV yesterday so beware. The dealer is looking into it and Suzuki says the bike is compliant with green sticker rules but the vin number and DMV don't agree.
stay tuned.
stay tuned.
