check out powersportsnetwork.com can compare almost every brand side by side, contact dealers, get msrp, insurance, and get reveiws from pro riders and every day riders. and see what else is out there. It only has the most popular of the off brands.

anything with the name honda or suzuki are good bikes we have a 1987 honda trx 70 that was in storage for 12 years we bought for 600.00 bucks and 10 minutes later fresh gas and a new plug and oil started on the first pull you cant go wrong with honda they run forever.

I agree with your thought about having him sit on the machine. When I bought my oldest son his first machine, we stayed away from the the Bombardier, Suzuki, Cat and Yamaha because of the physical size. The e-ton was considerably smaller. My sons have had two e-tons and we have not had the best of luck with them. However, the person that bought our second one, Viper 40, loves it and couldn't be happier. My other item I looked for was the remote shut off for control when the boys were younger.

Currently, we have a Dinli 50 and Arctic Cat 50. My boys, 5 and 9, fit perfectly on their machines and it is comical to look at the two side by side and know they are both 50s. AC's 50 and 90 are pretty much the same size with the exception being the weight from the bigger engine. Good luck and happy riding. Bottom line for which brand is the best...whatever one makes your boy and your wallet happy.
