Default Predator 90 smoking way to much

I Have a 2005 predator 90 that is smoking heavy all the time. Idling all the way to full throttle. Choke on choke off. Compression is 90ish psi. The oil pump and tank were removed to make space for new suspension so i am mixing the fuel at 34:1. I have removed the cylinder head to check rings and the condition inside the head anf everything looks fantastic aside from some slight carbon build up that i cleaned. New gaskets when head was put back on. Compression never changed and smoke is still present. I have full synthetic 2stroke oil as the mix. Gas is brand new. Carb has been cleaned but not sure if everything is set right. also an oily liquid forms and drips at end of tail pipe while running. Dont really know what else to do aside from never start the thing. Running hot makes no difference. Any suggestions? Was thinking about ordering a new carb for it just because. Not sure if that might help or not.

Are you sure you got the mixture right? It is all too easy to work out how much oil should go in wrongly. I recon 34 to 1 is about 150cc to a gallon. Can't see 34 to 1 oiling things up. My chainsaw is 16 to 1 and doesn't. You should get smoke, its a two stroke, no smoke = no oil getting to the bearings.

The mixture is perfect. I made absolute sure to use the required amount for a 34:1 mixture. I have heard varying mixture ratios for these little quads so i jusy met the numbers in the middle. Have heard 32-36:1 with as high as 40:1 for certain people. I realize there will be smoke. I own several different 2 stoke engines that I service, mix fuel for , and winterize regularly. When this quad gets driving on a calm day it leaves a fog behind it. You could not ride behind this quad with out getting a twostroke headache in 5 mins. I dont understand it. Its a mini version of when i fire my yamaha 700 triple skidoo up when its cold in the winter except once that machine is warm the smoke subsides. Not on this quad tho. From what i read as well the compression is right where it should be for this little quad. My best geuss is somethings happening in the carb since im not sure of the exact settings of everything hence why i said i might just purchase the new one. Orrr something possibly going on in the exsaust pjpe.. Maybe.. Hoping someone has dealt with this and can point me in the right direction.

I run Torco GP-7. It's a smokeless 2 stroke oil and it does not smoke.
With that said, what 2 stroke oil are you using? Some suck IMO.
Below 90 comp means a fresh bore and piston. You are at the borderline.
The pipe may need burnt out.
34:1....so ya like to be just a lil different eh....LOL

I am using amsoil Interseptor synthetic 2stoke oil. What do you mean exsaust may need to be burnt out?

That Amsoil is a 50:1 mix oil. With a lot of oils you can mix to your own ratio. I don't consider Amsoil to be one of those oils. Some Amsoils mix at 100:1 I'd be re-mixing.
Pipes get oily yuck in them. Sometime you have to stick em in a fire and blow em out. Some have a screen on the end of the silencer that gums up.

I should mention:: OPT was very opinionated about compression on the lil Polaris's. He said 115 minimum I think. You can look that one up.

This ams oil is the third type of oil i have tried. I have looked on other threads and found alot of people not getting much more then 90 but if i need to do a cylinder head change i definitely will but first i will try burning the pipe out and see if that helps. I will also try the oil you were talking about.

I just wanted to mention that there is smokeless oils out there. With the Amsoil being the 3rd oil tried, I'm uncertain it's the oil and I certainly cannot guarantee Torco will fix it. Please notice I did not say anything bad about the Amsoils. A lot of ppl swear by Amsoil.
