Default Suzuki LT80 questions stator, vacuum lines

Picked up a ‘06 LT80 project bike for my 9yo boy and me. Guy said it sat for a while and wouldnt start but it looked super clean. Got it home and no spark.Coil is good (ohm tested fine)........ took cooling fan cover off (it was missing a piece ) and magneto and stator rusted bad. Guess from him pressure washing and let sit. Tested R/B wire and grounded to stator case -nothing. Guessing the corrosion didn’t help.

questions :
1) Are the eBay cheap stator assemblies ok to use? Any good/bad stories?
Or do I need to find an oem used one?
2) what about Ricky’s stator is it the best option?
3) if the magneto is bad rusted - should I replace or just emery cloth and try to clean it up
4) it’s missing the vacuum or fuel hose line from the petcock to the carburetor.....what size or diameter should be used? The fuel line and overflow are hooked up

thanks in advance!

Yuck! Ricky stator is a good potion. You'll need a seal whilst all that's off. Looking at the stuff inside, I'd get a new/used flywheel.
I may have stock stator and flywheel here.

Thanks for replying LT80! Been searching for a deal on the flywheel and stator. Let me know what ya have if ya would.

So you think it will need a crank seal? Gonna try to pull a compression test when I get time. Been reading old threads (learning alot
new to this atv stuff)and worried about having to split any cases..... never done it before.

I’m interested in pricing on your National package and discussing best route. Want to discuss if the national package is best for the type of riding we are wanting to do. I see your contact info-whats best time to get ahold of you?

A seal is like 3 bucks and while the flywheel is off, might as well replace it.
please call in the evening.
