There is absolutely no law anywhere in Michigan that states you must be an advanced rider to operate on Michigans designated trails,it is nothing more than a RECOMMENDATION.. If it were a law, than youthful operators on ORVs would be banned from operating on our trails, and their is absolutely no age restrictions for ORV use on Michigan trails,so your ADVANCED rider is YOUR perception and NOTHING else.Your poorly versed with regards to ORVs laws and your wrong, get over it! I forgot more about Michigan ORVs laws than most folks know today!

As far as you being in Mio next weekend? Im not looking for any confrontation from nobody and I'll be busy at my ATV bussiness earning a living. I dont make it a practice to operate with someone that has little/no respect for ORV laws. If I saw you operating in a careless manner, you'll just have to take my word for it, I'd KNOW how to handle it.

Seeing that I just spent 6 almost 7 thousand dollars on the damn thing, I intend to rag the hell out of it whether it ****'s people like you off or not---END OF QUOTE--

My 2006 800cc BRP cost me almost 12 grand. Using your idealology, I should be running this thing at full throttle.

I will be looking out for that (is it pink) atv of yours on the trail. Your foul language caused your removal from ATVOffroad site and perhaps you can keep it up and lose your right to all websites but your own.

Listen buddy, with all due respect, I have yet to be disrespectful to anyone. And no, I don't have an 8 year old son. If you had actually read my post(s) you would clearly see what I am talking about. I have kept this conversation civil the whole time and don't really like being threathened or attacked by anyone. Unlike some people, I won't cower to this guy just because he supposedly teaches an ORV safety class.

How have I acted immature at any point here? Exactly, I have'nt. I'm just clearly stating my opinion which I intend to keep doing. If you feel you must be on the lookout for my Red ATV on the trail, please by all means, be my guest. I also drive a silver Tahoe... be on the lookout for that too.

You obdviously missed the point of that statement entirely. I ride a sport bike. You ride a UTILITLY bike. Big difference. But if you had spent say 6 or 7 grand on a predator 500, yeah, ride the hell out of it.

I have never, and when I say this I mean it, ever broke any of the trail "laws" while I have been riding. I do ride fast, don't get me wrong and will continue to do so, but to say I ride recklessly would be a total micscharacterization (badly misspelled I know) of how I ride. I'm ALWAYS within my riding ability on my machine and would never and have NEVER put anyone else at danger when I'm riding.

Thats all anyone is really asking for in the first place! Ride safe and dont risk injury to yourself or others when riding.

I know you think that if you hurt YOURSELF while riding your ATV, that it is not hurting anyone else. But trust me, it affects the entire ORV population of riders when that injury sends you to a hospital. Everytime someone is sent to the hospital for a ORV related injury, that report is sent to the Consumer Product Safety Commision [CPSC] and it gives our sport even a BLACKER eye than we already have.

Please ride safe and responsable. Thats all we are asking of you.

Honestly, thanks for that response. All I'm asking of you is don't judge someone just because they have a different riding style than you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your probably mid 30's to mid 40's and dont like to go that fast anymore and you ride a utilitly type of quad. That in itself is totally understandble. I don't expect you to ride like me or like anyone else for that matter. But I do expect to be able to ride "my way" as long as it doe'snt interfere with anyone else's riding and I expect the same from you and everyone else.... Myself I'm 23 and honestly like to haul *** on my bike within reason. If I do get hurt, I get hurt and I learn from my mistake. Most of my injuries have been minor like getting a cut or smashing my hand from bumping into a tree in a tight spot or falling off my bike and busting my *** cause I hit a bump and did'nt expect it. Nothing serious, but they all hurt. That comment you made about trying to not get hurt on my quad is completely understandble and believe me I'm not TRYING to get hurt on my bike. By definition that crap hurts and I dont wanna be missing work cause I'm laid up at home with a broken leg... I would a lot rather call in sick because it's a nice day out to go riding instead of actually being sick or hurt. The part about our sport having a black eye though, I would say that comes more from people tearing up private property, or public property for that matter, more than from people getting hurt on ATV's.

Actually im 48 yrs old and have a 25 yr old son in law enforcement and a 19 yr old daughter in College. Been married for 27 yrs. Not to many folks like me around anymore.[to many DIVORCES and broken families today]

I truly did not intend to JUDGE your riding style, rather you sort of gave me the wrong impression of your riding style when you made the statement that the Michigan trails is your legal race track. With a comment like that, it is my hope that you can understand how someone 'might' misinterpet your statement as something that it was not intended to be.

Im OK with you now that I understand where your coming from. And actaully, I did'nt buy my 800 HO to putz around with either, but yes, I'll admit, I dont ride nearly as hard as I used to.Im in excellant health for my age and dont feel anywhere near my age,but I take very good care of myself too. When you get older, you might even change your riding style a little bit------who knows?

Happy trailing!

Bill
