What is really going on in Michigan

It's no wonder that every member of this Michigan atv club who voted on becoming nothing but a sub-chapter under these kind of attitudes...is not very damn proud of announcing to the rest of this world whether they did so or not.

(no sarcasm what so ever in that big guy!)

While this is all fun and amusing. I think I am going to do something really shocking.....I am going outside and ride today!!! Yep away from the computer and into the real world. Its pretty scarry out there ya know.
Im heading out to a 50" wide trail that is shared by both bikes and quads (oh the horror) and ride with my son tonight. Looks like a great night for it.
I might even bring my chainsaw and take a few downed trees out of the trail. Even though this isn't even my trail to maintain, I still do it because it is the right thing to do. Its called putting something back into the trail system. Shocking isn't it!

Sheltrown requested the Michigan AG's opinion...and I'm wondering if MDOT in conjunction with these local road commissions didn't ask this question back of him:
"We don't perceive any problem with this extra traffic on the sides of these mostly unimproved dirt roads....yet what are we receiving out of the Michigan Orv Fund to FIX what each and every machine now suddenly going down them is impacting in each county?..."
My 'guess' is that the AG didn't have an answer for them (not saying that I don't support the ordinances; just putting myself in the place of those legally charged with keeping these shoulders in a certain condition).
You've got to "pay to play" folks ....

BB, I havn't followed this whole thread, but have you ever actually talked about a fun riding trip? What's the point of the sport if you can't enjoy it?

How can BlackBalled possibly have a good time riding in Michigan?
His quad only fits on 70% of the trails there.

Don't worry he will do his best to not answer your questions. I posed questions to him on page 5 of this thread that BB still hasn't answered, then he stated he would get to them as the time came 33 pages later and he still doesn't have the time.
Probably from worrying about there not being a stenographer at a meeting. No!!! I got it!!! he is getting fitted for his suit and cape to appear as "Super Blackballed" righting the wrongs of all things that in his mind are wrong because he knows how everything works from his "7 long years in atv politics"
"what a marroon"- "Bugs Bunny"

So does BB just not like 2-wheels, or does he just want all of the trails to himself?
*And just so you know BB, I am in no way, shape, or form biased between the number of wheels someone uses. I've been riding trikes, quads, and bikes for almost 17 years now, with about 75% of that time on quads.*

1. 60" wide 2 lane divided trail so there is no chance of a head on injury.
2. Perfectly flat trail and straight as an arrow groomed with this "Modern trail mainenantce equipment" that I keep hearing about. As near as I can figure this in his eyes means a bulldozer. Trail bed should probably be either paved or gravel so there is no trail bed damage.
3. Probably should be park benches and picknic areas every 5 miles or so with bathroom facilities.
4. Emergency phones every mile or so in case of trouble.
5. Probably should have irrigation and drainage built in to keep the dust down as well.
6. Its going to have to have internet acess so he can get online every few miles and complain to the powers that be about how completely incompitent they are and ask them to help improve things (all in the same sentance)
Sounds like a barell of fun dont it!
