I wouldn't want to be in the military for the next 4 years either!

They showed the crowd that gathered last night outside OUR White House, and somebody in the crowd had a hammer and sickle sign. If you have any doubts as to what we are up against....that should tell you!!!

He proposed making Bush's tax cuts permanent for people under 250k a year. Bush's tax cut plan ends in 2 years.

Again, I'm not debating. Just want the truth known. Regardless of opinion he is going to be the new president. If the population cannot support him and his plans the USA will not recover from the downturn properly.

Facts?? Even that site says its what they "say" they are going to do. Now we just got to see if Obama is a man of his word or if he will change his mind a bit. clinton was going to lower taxes too.

 

Honestly, the economy recovers best when government leaves it alone. Barney Frank (from here in Mass.) pushed for loosening the rules that governed how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (government loan institutions) loaned money. Before, they were able to refuse loans to people who couldn't afford a mortgage. They opened up the floodgates. After this, the FDIC started pressuring banks to make loans to under-qualified people. (I remember talking to my wife who is in banking) Soon, the default rate on loans shot up. If they really wanted to stop the hemorhaging they would let the banks refuse loans to those who can't afford them.

I agree with you COMPLETELY. Regardless of what any pres-to-be has ever said, the promises seem to fail.

Very.. We have a big political debate that ends (hopefully) with the acknowledgment on both sides that the President of the USA fails us. Now THAT tells you something.

To even do that he would have to rid us of the house,senate and all that crap.The courts would have to be reworked,and while this is all going on you don't think the joint cheifs won't see this or the public??When a new president is sworn in there is a plan if the guy goes rogue to end him with a call.It's that simple.Plus do you guys think the Good Lord would let communism happen.In some odd way this may turn out to be the great rebuilding of this century.I have my Faith that Obama will just rebuild this country to its former glory.
