Default Clutch Kit

Can someone tell me exactly how a clutch kit improves performance in an automatic utility ATV? It's not really enough for me to know that it makes it faster, I like to know how and why. Also, does it improve overall delivery of power, low-end only, high rpm only, or what?

thanks

Basikly you install stiffer springs in the egagment clutch which raises the egagement allowing the motor to rev abit before taking off.

Belt drive models get some more parts, which improve shifting, belt slipage, and temp.

So it's somewhat similar to a high-stall torque converter in an automatic car, right? At least in what it does?

yhea pretty much so. I installed one in mine, it raises the rpm at which your clutch engages.
You end up having more low end torque but you sacrifice some top end speed.
