Default Got my sp600 belt wet?

I got my belt wet driving through a small pond. I was hoping if I let it sit for a day or two the water would drain out, no luck. How do I drain this?

what i do when that happens is i put the bike into nuetral, and rev the the engine so the belt spins and drys itself off, it always works for me even when i am in the trails. give it a shot it should work, it just might take a couple minutes of reving and spinning.

Don't the new SPs have a drain plug in the bottom of the clutch cover also?

unless you took it swimming, it shouldn't of gotten wet at all, the snorkel is above the level of the seat..... I think you should take it back to the dealer (assuming it's still under warranty) and tell them the seal around the cover is leaking. Otherwise you may need to check where the snorkel attaches to the cover and make sure it's tight and replace the seal.

or, ...... next time bring swim fin's and a rubber duck...

I do as lightman does. This will blow the water out, then drive slow and easy for a bit also. The clutch has an inlet and outlet for cooling. I have had mine up to the seat in water but as long as I stay moving I am ok, but if I get hung up and sit in the water then belt will get wet.

What you gotta do is a little red plastic scrw on the belt case, take it out and lift up the front of the quad, and let it drain out.

thanks, i pulled the red plug and drained out about a gallon of water. I don't think the cover is leaking, i drove into 3 foot water at 20 mph that is probably what did it. It seems to running fine now.
