I just put a new exhaust on my scrammy...its a complete system...and everynow and then when I leave it sit in the garage for a while...I'll try to start it up and about half a cup of gas will leak out right were the head pipe and mid pipe connect together..any ideas what the heck is up with this????

 

because gas is somehow getting down into ur pipe wenu turn it off and coming out wen u restart

maybe the exhaust valve isnt closing right away wen the spark stops making for unburnt gas??

 

My guess would be a worn needle valve and seat.Try shutting the gas off when you stop.If that stops it take the carb apart and replace it.

 

lol,yes it was established already..obviously he knows gas is getting into his pipe and leaking out when he starts it..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

ftwflh, so you think its the valve and seat in the carb.....Man, if its not one problem its another..when I fix one thing on the scrammy another thing goes wrong with it. I just need to get it up in shape so I can sell it. Thanks for the info ftwflh
