Anyone know how much a glacier system weighs? The mounting plate and then the blade/frame assembly? I have a 60" blade.

I bought a Polaris simply because of the impressive suspension and chassis. After a visual comparison with Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda, the choice was easy. I bought mine with plowing snow in mind and saw the extra weight as an advantage, as well as a sign of quality. The only other quad that was close was the Bombardier, but the local dealer wanted nearly $2,000 more for it. No offense to the other brands, but after looking under the rear end of the Sportsman, the rest looked like toys.

Great posts!
It's a Utility ATV, period.
The main reason I choose it was the weight. I use it mainly for pushing snow. Of course the large motor, EFI and styling had nothing to do with it (ya right!).
I also think it's great on trails, it seems to float over crests and bumps. It kind of rides like a Cadillac and hands like a Porche with 3 people in it.
Good job Polaris...
