TB tranny woes....and which spring?
Well I found my problem with my 02 TB tranny. My sons friend revved it to the moon and jammed it in gear, breaking all the dogs off of the forward engagement sprag in the tranny. I removed the trans which took about 4 hours not including the hour I went riding my sons CRF150 just to get a break. I took my time and it was a straightforward job. Once I got the tranny drained and the case broke apart, the chunks from the sprocket felt out in my hands. Needless to say I was pissed.
Anyways...my belt looks OK. No dryrotting or excessive wear that I see....should I replace it anyways or can I reuse the old one. Also I am concidering replacing the clutch spring. My bone stock bike has a blue spring. Which replacement color spring would be good to pep up a stock TB? Also does anyone know if the bearings are pressed on the drive shaft? I see snap rings on them but it looks as if they may be pressed on. I still have to remove that old sprag in order to put the new on.

the bearings are a machine fit. they're not pressed really hard. sometimes with 2 ppl, you can use a punch or something and a hammer and get them off. have had a few that needed pressed, but not many. as far as the spring, there are sevral to choose from. for a step up from stock a polaris plain like in the 500 scram, or the polaris black. check out the aftermarkets, aaen, hpd, hsp, all have springs.
