My 04 Sportsman 400 consistantly tops out at 52/53 (speedometer) on flat paved asphalt with 6 PSI in the front and 5 PSI in the back.

I have gotten my sportsman goin 58 on GPS, that was turning out 7000 RPMs where i could feel the engine kick, so that must be where the revv limiter kicks in jeff give or take 200 rpm

Its Global Positioning using satalites, acurate w/i 30 feet for rider position.

It's mostly used for hunting (and now automotive) available at Gander Mt. , Cabellas, Electronics retailers etc...

I have read the stock speedos on the polaris machines are extreamly accurate, only being 1 or 2 mph off at top end.

I had my 01 500h.o. up to 63 on the atv and like 59 on the gps. That was on a flat blacktop highway with 25" gators on it. My buddy was on a 660 Grizzly and his was exactly the same. Neither of us could leave one or another. My new 700 efi however has been up to a little past 70 when it was newer. With the GPS on it I had it up to about 65-67 crossing a long bridge with my g/f on the back till the state trooper pulled me over. That was a bad day. He wouldn't let us cross back over the bridge so we all had to find an alternate route back across the river and around. It took us 2 hours and 15 miles out of the way to find another bridge that wasn't on a U.S. Major highway like we were on.
