Dr Lang - What did you glue loose flywheel magnets with ?
I used a dremel tool to remove all of the old material. Then used a 2 part epoxy to re-adhere the magnet to the flywheel. The epoxy used was actually intended for anchoring to block walls. It's all I had in hand so I used it. It has been tested to 7000 rpm's. Doc

Did you mark the magnets when you took them off so, you got them back in the same place ? I thought about putting scribe marks to make sure they are in the same place.
So, you are still running the same machine with the magnets that you repaired ?
Thanks,
D.

Oh yeah, that is the machine in my bio. The pipe shuts off at around 7000 rpm's, or I'd run it higher. I use that machine for drag racing only, I see your dealing with Rick, good choice. Yes you need to get the magnet in the right spot, mark or whatever you can. Darn I guess I won't be getting that 400 from you. I'll find 1 to build hopefully soon. PS if this engine build gets to much, remember me, I'll come and get it. Thanks Doc

DR.,
I see in your Bio that you are using premix . That is the way I am going to go . Can I just make a blockoff plate and gasket or did you actually stick a plug into the hole that the oilpump shaft went into ? I am a Journeyman tool and diemaker by trade so making whatever I need is not a problem.
Thanks,
D.

Why can't you just make a flat blockoff plate that goes where the oilpump housing originally was located ? It looks like to me it would just be a 2.875X3.000 flate plate with three bolt holes tranferred from the oil pump casting housing.
Then at the carb. just plug the oil fitting.
Looks pretty simple to me but am I missing something ?
