Blown motor? No, that would not start or run... What kind of ATV you got?

what does it do when it shuts off. are you checking fire, checking to make sure its not running out of gas? give more details if you can. and no its not any major problem w/ the engine or hes right and it wouldnt even start.

I'll guess that it won't restart until it has cooled down too.

I have a 99 Scrambler 500 that sounds like a sililiar issue. It will run great for 5 - 10 minutes and then it starts to cough and choke. Won't restart for at least an hour after that. It is getting fuel and I did just clean the carb out.
My guess is electrical. Thoughts???

As Stendori said above, make sure you still have spark. The easiest way to check is get a known good (spare) plug. Run the bike until it acts up, pull the plug wire and connect it to the spare plug. Lay the plug against the engine and hit the starter button. If you get spark,,, chances are it's not electrical. Just to be certain that it's not the plug,,, you could throw the spare in once it cools off.

i'm going to ask you to try some thing . pull the gas line hose off the the carb and and run your gas in to a seperet contener ,does the flow change or stop ? if it does remove the gas cap ,does that help the flow of gas ?
