If there is no oil that got sucked up into the airbox then make sure the oil is at the right level and get out and ride it for a few hours. You have to get some heat in the engine to seat the rings so don't be shy with the throttle. I'm not saying hold it wide open all day but don't baby it just because you just did the top end. Keep an eye on the oil and it should stop smoking. If not you have bigger problems......

I tend to agree with NBSportsman. Give the rings some time to seat. Also, did you go to a "thinner" oil? If you went from a thicker oil to a thinner after the ring job it could bypass a little easier. I would give it a good long ride and see what happens.

If u got oil sloshing around in your airbox u r a retard. I use a K&n filter that i have to oil dailyand nothing burns thru it. what kinda air flow do u have going in there? I run a modified air box without the top on it. i put holes in air box. I know theres a vent hose there but if oil is coming up that sucker that capped sucker. at least mine is.and oh yeah mine comes outta transmission. the breather is outta your carb. i must have a space model 800 instead

dosceola, wow, not sure what to think about your reply. Why do you oil your K&N every day? I oil mine only after I clean it and that only happens twice a year. I run a prefilter that gets cleaned only when needed, like once or twice a month. And as far as a breather being "outta your carb", that just doesn't make any sense. Not sure exactly what you were trying to say. Maybe you could clarify?
