if you had a dead battery w/ an efi model, the recoil wouldnt start it. on the older models pre efi it would start and run w/ a dead battery but not these newer ones. they need some battery voltage(as caper found out) to even maintain the quad to run.

 

Does the New 08 SP500 H.O "carb model" still able to run with a dead battery?

 

not if its completely dead and wont take a charge. i mean if they batteries junk.
