Why am I having problems with this site?

Default Why am I having problems with this site?
I have been patiently waiting for the site to stop opening at a snails pace.
I use Google and it is lightning quick with every thing I search.
Can someone tell me if I am supposed to download new software for this site. should I be using a new browser?
I've been using the site for 4 or 5 years and I am almost done coming back.
Great people on the site, I try to visit every day and have almost exclusively gotten my repair advice here.
Am I the only one still having problems with the site?

Default Why am I having problems with this site?
There have been a few problems for different users since they switched the forum to new servers. That was about 2-3 weeks ago. I use Mozilla firefox and it does ok here. I have heard the new owners are working on a solution.

Default Why am I having problems with this site?
I use Mozzila as my regular browser without issue and IE on occasion and the speed is very fast from work and from my home wireless connection as well. I do not believe there is any additional client s/w needed for this site beyond a straight browser connection.

The site is java based vs microsofts asp so it could be related to the version of java you are running. At work I run 1.6.0_07. You can check yours by going to a dos prompt (run cmd) then type java -version

Thanks Ruggo, but I'm not an IT guy.
DOS and run cmd is over my head.
I am using mozilla foxfire now and it's slow as molassis loading. Runs and opens everything else quick as snake snot.
How do I contact this site administrator about any help?

Default Why am I having problems with this site?
When your on this page right click and a box will come up. Hit on view page source.
Another page will come up.
Copy and paste and then post what is on that page.

The tech guys are trying to work some of the issues out to accommodate everyone but the majority have no problem and the site with IE and firefox for myself is as fast as ever.

I am not sure of the time frame exactly but the whole forum will be switched over to Vbulletin software which will be much improved.

I have been patiently waiting for the site to stop opening at a snails pace.
<br />I use Google and it is lightning quick with every thing I search.
<br />Can someone tell me if I am supposed to download new software for this site. should I be using a new browser?
<br />I've been using the site for 4 or 5 years and I am almost done coming back.
<br />Great people on the site, I try to visit every day and have almost exclusively gotten my repair advice here.
<br />Am I the only one still having problems with the site?

There have been a few problems for different users since they switched the forum to new servers. That was about 2-3 weeks ago. I use Mozilla firefox and it does ok here. I have heard the new owners are working on a solution.
