Hi hoping someone can help me.I took my tank off as it needed a good clean. Reassembled it and also cleaned out carb. Starts ok but when throttle opened half way it backfires looses power and pulsates. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks much appreciated.

 

did you make sure that the throttle cable is set correctlyu and the etc is not overriding it?

 

Hi yes cable is fine sounds like after reaching half thottle that it is starving for fuel but fuel supply is fine.

I'll be watching this thread as mine is also doing this, of course it only does it in REVERSE?!?!?! DOn't know what that's about, but hopefully someone on here will beable to lend a hand.

 

in reverse it is a built in safety function. Try reversing and pushing the yellow overide button and you will find you have full acceleration
