What does Polaris have for a skidplate underneath the XP? I've never asked anyone or crawled underneath one long enough to really get a good look at it.

I don't like that saddle shaped seat that the Touring has. One of those, "What were they thinking?, types of things.
I sure you're right with the break-over point and I too like the added stability of the longer wheelbase.

I would choose the Touring over the XP even if I never intended carrying a passenger. I like the added storage space I gained by removing the rear seat too.

Next time I have a chance I'll take a picture of the underneath side, hopefully with at least three of the tires still on the ground.

I need to change the oil, I'm going to pick that up today. I wonder how much Polaris wants for 1 quart of "their" oil??

I also think that technical riding is the best...but we have to drive a loooooong way to find it here in Southeast Wisconsin.
A couple folks here have tracks on their ATVs. The problem is you have to ride a ways to get to deep enough snow that you need them.

I would have to have two ATVs to put tracks on one and someone would have to give them to me. They just aren't in my budget.

Here's my opinion as demostrated in this little video I did today on the ADC.
As usual the camera masks the grade of the hill, it is steep and loose.
Even dry I know ATV'rs with 4-wd that didn't make it up.
This 550 Touring with these Black Diamonds walks right up it.

Indeed overrides are a dumb safety feature and I understand that this is not your machine. That being said, for $18 and 5 minutes of your time bye-bye reverse override. And you have a toggle switch should an inexperienced rider climb aboard. Just my

$12/qt???

Whose oil is this??

I seriously doubt that it is a "special Polaris only" blend.

I'm sure that you can buy the same oil in the manufactures container for less money.

Either that or get it in the gallon. Less expensive that way.
