Polaris is a true AWD or 2wd only, there is no 3x4 mode like most ATVs with a limited slip front differential. So there is no need for diff lockers.
Even if a Polaris is in 4wd mode its really is in 2wd unless the rear wheels slip. When the rear wheels slip the front two wheels engage automatically and disengage automatically once the rear wheels regain traction.
Its a awsome set up.
There no having to stop to put the ATV into diff lock mode to get through a bad spot then stop again to put the ATV back into 2wd or 3wd mode once again.
The polaris does it all on its own without you even knowing it or feeling it.
You will never see a polaris with only one front wheel spining like regular 4x4 ATVs. Thats the differance between true AWD and 4wd(3wd).
Only Can -Am uses a similar set up.
Here is a video that shows how fast and little rear slip it takes to engage the front wheels.
