Default Motor stalls after 10 min of riding

Not to be stupid, but is changing the flywheel key a major undertaking?

I have looked online for a 1992 suzuki lt250R manual, and I am having a hard time finding one for that year.

Thanks for all of your input!

I just took it to the local suzuki dealer and told them to fix it...

OUCH $130 just to diagnose it!!!

Well...we will see what happens

The guy at the shop muddered the words I didn't want to hear "it might be the CDI" OH NO!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

I will post when it is done, and let you know what the problem was.

it sounds like the stator problem i had on my 500r.......you can come across parts on ebay at a decent price usually

Changing the flywheel key is easy. If you remove the stator cover, you can remove the flywheel (you need a flywheel puller) to see if the key is ok.

I think your coil or CDI is not working properly. At first it may have only been failing when it heated up but now it sounds like it may be completely dying. Get a Clymer manual. They're only like 15 bucks and have detailed instructions for troubleshooting everything.

Got the quad back yesterday and damn it runs good again!!!!

The problem was the primary coil. Paid $60 for the part and $230 for the labor.

It would have taken me a while to figure that out from the problems I was having.

Thanks to all that gave me advice, and I hope this helps someone in the future.

sounds as if you have an overheating problem I had a RM125 that did the same thing but than again it was a RM125 but anyhow it was locked up at one time that I didn't know when a buddy rode it and when I got it back it was doing just that I need to to hone piston and rings and she was on the rode to glory again...
