The dealer did the first service on it and now the plug is stripped, I don't want to bring it back to teh dealer do to the distance, what is a good permeant fix for it and could you run me though the steps. Thanks

 

I'd drive back and tell 'em to start replacing stuff!!! You can always try to chase it or helicoil it but why? They should be fixin it at they're expense, not yours!!!!

 

Bring it back to the dealer how do you know its stipped and are you sure you dident stip it after the fact? If so your going to have to heli? it I thiink my spelling might be off but that is your soulution.

 

Well today in the garage I saw a little spot of oil on the floor, so i look at eh drain bolt and it is wet, so i put a socket on it with a extenison and no ratcet, I turn the bolt and it just keeps spinning, it will start to tighten and then loosen back up.

 

id take it to the dealer and let them fix it for you at no charge but that is my opinion.

 

damn that sux man I would be looking for somebody that can rethread it

 

You need to check if just the bolt is stripped or if the whole is stripped. Two totally different problems, you know. Its easy to replace a bolt, but tapping a whole is a different story.

It is the hole, I had a friend put a heli coil in it. I hope this is ok
