finally got this thing out on the trails.
motor's pretty tired but i still had a blast!
man, the +4 swingarm & fasttrekkers are great! i can bust it loose at will and it still hooks up on the berms when needed.

i'm planning on getting the motor rebuilt w/ stage 1 cam & a little port 'n polish. go a couple over on the piston and maybe run a bigger carb.
hopefully, i'll have enough left over for new fr shocks.

 

i had a 86 and put lot of money into her. but sold her. i miss that little 230 lol

 

i don't have that much into it so far due to some excellent deals on ebay. with a motor rebuild, i'll have just a little more than what a brand new 1985 'Sport listed for, which was around 2G.
i talked to a builder and he started to tell me not to bother putting money into it. i told him it was a labor of love and will be staying in the stable for a long time. he said,"well, in that case...."[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

seeing that makes me remember my old 'sport...my first quad. I loved that thing to death until i read about the quadracer and had to have one. I just wish my 230 was even close to be as nice as yours. You need to get that front end lookin as good as the *** end does..haha

 

Fiddy, i got fasttrekers on flipped fr rims now. i like them on the trails. dunno about hi speed stability. heard they wander a bit at speed.
