Then just move the top shock mount where ever you need it for the shock you plan to use. Once its all together, then you measure for the chain. I'm guessing 100 links, but I could be off by a link or 2.

My vote is the Primary Drive "windowed" standard chain from Rockymountainatv. Its cheap, light, and about as frictionless as you'll find. I've been running the same chain for,,, hmmm,,, 2-3 yrs now? (I'd have to dig back about 500 posts and see when I started raving about it). Of course, I don't ride everyday, but still... All I do is make sure the chain is always wet with oil. When it dries out, I just slide the floor jack under the axle and lube it up with my trusty oil can. One of my simple joys in life is spinning the rear wheels and watching them continue to spin without any needless friction slowing them down. I'm such a gearhead ![Big Grin](https://atvconnection.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
An o-ring and x-ring chain will slow you down. How much is debatable, but the chains are heavier and have MUCH more friction. On the plus side you don't have to oil them before every ride.
x-ring is better than o-ring. 1) it has less friction. 2) it has 2 sealing surfaces to keep dirt out and oil in. Ah heck... just read this Facts you should no about Motorcycle Chains!

Sprocket sizes affect chain stretch too. For instance a 12/36 and 13/39 is the same ratio, but the 12/36 will stretch the chain more. However, a bike with a 12/36 will accelerate faster than one with a 13/39 due to less chain weight, sprocket weight, and just the nature of having a smaller sprocket on front. Everything comes at a cost lol

Well where i ride in the mountians i don't have much time to tach out, but i still manage it on the straight aways right now i tach out at about 50 i just want a lil more speed, but don't want to sacrifice to much acceleration, now with the 250s cam, and dg pipe to come soon im hopping the 12/39 combo from the 12/41 will give me that bit more speed im looking for without losing any acceleration ![Nod](https://atvconnection.com/forums/images/smilies/nod.gif)
