85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
300ex, but they are too long for the stock 230, but are perfect for the lt250s a-arms. I got them for 220 w/ only 30 mins of ride time. They are 600 shocks so I couldnt pass up a deal like that! I finally got a straight, not destroyed frame, so now I can start the real fun! Progress pics are going to be up in the next coming weeks! The last two photos is my new 75watt lighting coil for the headlights!
Ltz400 sprocket guards, im going to be running a 39 tooth sprocket, they are 25 each side and the guy that makes them will custom in grave them for what you want them to say

Email him and ask him if he can custom engrave them with what you want. These can only be used if your running a 40 or smaller tooth sprocket, if you are running a bigger sprocket, he asks for the diameter of the sprocket so he can cut them accordingly, I recommend buying two if you want a chain guide and a sprocket protector.

So I'll soon be finishing up the engine for my 230 project; first one BTW, and am enjoying every minute of it.
Anyway, I've been wondering, if I have a very early engine that says it holds 1.4L of oil, should I put 2L of oil in it anyway, like the later engines? I can't see that the case covers are any different between the two, I just think the engineers realized that the engine needed more oil. It looks like the sight glass may have been moved up a little on the later engines to allow for more oil. So will it hurt anything to run 2L oil in my engine that says 1.4L? I don't think the piston will hit a pool of oil at bottom dead center.
Anyone have definitive info on this?
