Its a decent read if you have a couple mintues to kill... Yamaha is targeting the market we all found in the old 230's. At least that's the way I read it.

Gforce, one thing you could be doing if you're determined to get longer arms is go ahead n get 3 inch longer brakes lines. I just welded a bracket extension and got longer steel lines,,, but you'll have to get the longer rubber part unless you can move your bracket.

Btw, I've been thinking about making a new set of arms for my 230. 1.5 more inches on each side and I can go back to stock offset rims. I think that's what's wearing my arms out so fast.... All the wheel offset!

Merry Christmas to everyone.
Well my old Suzkawi QS lives! I finally got the engine together and installed on Sunday and was off riding yesterday. My gas tank off the old KLT110 was rusted pretty badly so right now it sits in the garage filled with water/potash mixture, a battery charger, and a piece of rebar sitting inside. Electrolysis rust removal works much better than the acid type removers and heck it dosent cost anything either!
The 32mm carb works without a hitch. It came with a 250 main jet and I started with a 200 and ended up leaving the 250 main in as it worked perfectly. The needle clip ended up in the middle grove and throttle response is excellent and after riding a bit the plug still looked good. Strange that the 32mm carb with the factory settings works perfect! I expected problems with jetting but it all went together without a hith. I even used the original carb flange adapter, just set it in the oven at 200degrees for about 15 minutes and pushed it on the carb then set it in the freezer for a bit, its a snug fit but the carb can be removed and installed with no problems.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas and gets some cool presents.
