Sounds like a good deal. My bud just got an 04 warrior for 1700. Now he'll have no excuse for not keeping up, lol.

So, you're probably not doing much with the 230 anymore are ya?

Randy - got it for 2500, KBB i guess is 3250 on the 04' DVX 400? I've already destroyed the almost near-perfect aluminum wheels it came with (the stock ones). Has the Arctic cat nerf bars on there too (same as the pro armors). I just need the skid plates. ...Happy button! Choke on handlebars... can't ask for more than that.</end quote></div>

Hey mjlar94 could you do us a huge favor? Measure your upper and lower a-arms on your DVX. Since the Z400, DVX and KFX all share the same everything except some plastics. The other day PG was going to stop by the dealership and measure a Z400 a-arms but it was closed. But even better that you have an atv that has the same a-arms

gforce- I have the faster plastics :-) hahahaha.... greatest joke..

I will do it over the weekend.

randy- I readjusted the valve lash and got new rockers, now when I try to start it it revs up and dies. And thats on the choke. Don't really want to take the carb apart to clean it.. I got a happy button on my dvx... :-D .. I would like to keep it running properly so I can get my friends addicted to the sport. I'd also like to sell it running for 1k (sound fair?)

Cool sounds great! So how do you like the DVX, I mean an honest, unbias run down of pros and cons. Handling, power, maintainence as far as you can tell at this point etc. I would like to pass on my 230 to my step son and when my 4 year old is old enough for him to inherit, in the meantime I would like to step up to something different.

damn computers, My house pc has decided to be unfreindly starting up again. I really gotta redo my gutsy install on this thing. I am currently running a gentoo live cd to check-up on my e-bay stuff while I am home. I had forgotten my passwords for all kinds of stuff that I have my browser remember for meman the hassle.

I have been reading up on what I missed again, and I agree that this little forum gives a great out to frustration. I was all pi*#$d off and decided to come here after my b.s. question answering on e-bay. now that I am just rambling on non importantly, my mood has allready been lifted. AWESOME! this forum rocks.

In another note thanks for the compliment on my parts on e-bay. I have always been picky with using clean parts on a rebuild and got so sick of getting crap I had to clean that this is what I ended up doing. I just picked up an old honda 110 atc that I am going to start tearing down today. the 230 spare parts I had are doing well (very well). I know it is a commonly broke part and since I have the one I am using and two spares I decided to polish up and post an axle carrier for an 87 lt230s. thought i'd let you guys know when I list needed important items. I polished this carrier and took it all apart, then cleaned out all the smelly grease and have regreased it slightly.

I am rambling like P G a bit sorry, his is pools and i am fish and e-bay

So the last few times I've ridden I've noticed that in 4th and more obvious in 5th gear my trans or clutch seems to be slipping. I will have the quad in one of the two above mentioned gears and will be a approximately 3/4 throttle and when I go to full throttle The rpms increase but I don't go any faster. I only notice it in these gears and when I go approximately 3/4 to full throttle....any ideas?

You need a new clutch a some stiffer springs. All the 230's around here have that problem too. The 250s has an extra clutch plate or 2. So, there must have been an issue with the 230 clutches. Also, the 250 has a lower 4th gear, closer to 3rd. I've been thinking about ordering the 4th gear for the 250 and putting it in my 230 when/if I split the cases. 4th gear is too big of a jump from 3rd. I'm either revving 3rd all the way out or boggin 4th.

My cousin is in town and I'll hardly be around posting much till tuesday... In case anybody has been wondering where I've been, lol. Who knows, maybe you guys need a good break from me.
