I saw a 250S on local craigslist once. evidently the guy knew what he had, wanted $$$ for it. It looked real nice though

Anyone have a suggestion for repairing the worn peg the shift lever fits on?

This is a 230E and the simple blaster shifter mod will not work (vase with rope starter).

Seems like I'm stuck trying to fix the sloppy one I have.

Thanks.

I have that write up printed out and will eventually follow it for the linkage if necessary.

Right now I have a ton of play/wobble where the shifter attaches to the peg on the foot rest.

Thinking of maybe trying to find a metal sleeve just slightly smaller than the diameter of the linkage and then smashing in a rubber washer....... I don't know?

I believe i cut up a beer can for that same condition. The right way would be to sleeve it though.

Now that's thinking! I'll try that temporarily to see if it fixes the slop. Thanks

Yes My foot shifter wore the rod out where it connects to the footpeg on my 230E n my 230s.What i did was cut off the stud to the foot peg flush then drilled it out n slid a bolt threw the footpeg n drilled out the shifter so it could slide freely on the new bolt. But get a bolt long enough to cut off its threads n have just round stock stickn out leave it long enough to drill for a washer n cotter pin i also put a grease fittn in the shifter.any questions just ask. N use a drill press if u have access to one.

Im currently rebuilding one of 230 quadrunners the engine got so hot it melted around the wrist pin. i just got the cylinder and head back big bore kit, hot cams and looking for a dg exhaust next. i'm having a hard time finding after market parts like bumpers rims and nerfs. also do any of you have a quadsport engine laying around you want to sell? it can be blown up.

Better put a new rod in that engine before you hang a big bore kit on it.

Also, I'm 99% sure hot cams is a stock cam.
