hey busted are you familiar with e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...trksid=p3756.m20.l1116 this is a good deal and so is this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 of course if you can afford it I would get the wiseco piston kit, but that is your cheapest rebuild provided the cylinder is good. P.S Welcome to the forum.

I m prety sure the cly is good b/c it runs great but just smokes like a bast***. Theres a kit on e bay that gives you the head piston and gaskets, rings for 170. Does that sound right? Also If I pull the head off will I have to re adjust the valves and cam? These small motors are new to me. Im used to V8's lol

Ok some more questions. When I take the top end apart is there a chain that runs through the motor? Will I have to take the cam out? Adjust the timing? How involved is the rebuild? Me and a buddy are going to do this. He knows pretty much but he says the 4 strokes suck b/c theres a chain and valves to adjust etc.
Any help is appreciated. This is my first top end rebuild. Pics help if you have some.
