250 4th gear on left, 230 4th gear on right:

The red dots show how much rotation you save by switching to the 4th gear. Not much, but its something.
The 250 4th gear is lower and is closer to 3rd.

Man, I don't mean to leave you hangin....
Like I said before, I am in duck and cover mode... Just trying to weather the storm... It is taking everything I have not to sell the 230 and to cut my losses..
I know better times will come, but I am one that loves to have the cushion income, I haven't had that in awhile, and it is scarey! Just paying bills has takin over my life... I don't regret going to Alaska (freaking trip of a lifetime) but unfortunately, I have to figure out how to pay for it now. No worries about summer income to pay stuff off in the past 30 years, that has changed this year........................

I took a load of beer cans off a couple months ago for $50, lol. If you got any metal, get it sold! Metal prices should be going down with oil and gold.

Open an ebay account and sell off stuff. That's one thing I'm planning to do one of these days.

Other than that, I'm kinda short on the get rich quick schemes.

Don't get me wrong, I ain't broke.. I just don't have the play money anymore.. I love to play... If I ain't playing, I ain't happy..... I have never been happy just paying bills. I come up broke, therefore I swore I would never be broke.

Broke is no place to be! I've been on both ends of that.... and I can't swear to anything. I just hope for a little bit o luck and to try keep my wits about me in what seems to be a drunken stupor too many times.

For now there's not much I can do but sit around waiting on the economy to do something. I could sell a bunch of crap on ebay, but that isn't going to rake in the dough exactly. So, its do or die time on this 230. Get the damn thing done! Make the calls... Make the decisions n get going. Maybe by the time its done I can look up and see if its stopped raining or not.

The swingarm should be done tonight. Tomorrow I'll call Falicon and Arrow rods n pick some brains. I need to choose a rod and decide whether to weld the rod bearings or not. And then there's this whole crank balancing deal...... Once those hurdles are over, its all downhill from there. Just port the head n slap it together!

Looks plenty strong. How much longer did you go? Let me know what you use for a rear shock.
