I bit the bullet and ordered those darn bearings. Ordered them from DK before 8 so they'll have them to me at work tomorrow afternoon! Throw them on, and do the couple other things and ride out of work! Not a bad job for spring break!
So Randy, would you say it was 4 wheel drive riding stiff, or worse?

And I decided on my light that I'm going to make it a quick disconnect light. Pop it on when I know I'm going to do night riding, and pop it off when I'm not.</end quote></div>
Well that's innovative!

By stiff I mean it takes a lot of arm power to turn the handlebars. Not the shocks being stiff. Just to be clear.
Yeah, it was really stiff. It wasn't as bad as a 4x4 with the front diff locked by any means, but it was a good workout doing just a few laps around my trails. My chest and arms would burn from muscling it around. Moving the top balljoint forward made it much easier.

Well depending on how bad it is, I could probably cut down the mounts more and shim it forward a bit. But I guess I'll cross that bridge only if it really needs to be.

I'd be shocked to learn you had an issue. You didn't have a problem before, why should you now?</end quote></div>
my fabrication skills.....
I tried my best though to keep the ball joints in the same place, so I guess we'll see. I hope the tie-rods guy will just give me 20 of my 45 back or something then I'll just extend them.
How did you do yours? Just weld some more round bar stock on there? Did you sleeve it?

I just kept blobbing weld on it till it quit breaking.
It should have been sleeved or patched. It looks like a poorly rolled joint now.
