Welcome to the forums instigator230s. Hopefully you had as much fun on your build, as i did on my build. And my build still isnt over yet. I got some pretty ridiculous mods in the work for my 230.
Hey what kind of staples/gun did you use?

Hoping to be able to run an alcohol blended fuel by summer, still building that engine plus 2 spares, 1 stock 1 race. Might even try to figure out a nitrous set up for a 230.
Have you seen some of the turbos on Youtube and stuff?? Crazy crazy.

WooHoo.......picked up a rolling chassis tonight for $100. It is nearly complete. Decent plastic(way better than I have), good tires and rims. Full exhaust and even a carb. I haven't had a chance to start tearing it down, but I am betting it has a good CDI too. Only things missing are the motor, left foot peg and rear brake caliper(which is a bummer since I am using a rear caliper now that has been modified to work, just barely.

Man I am so excited to have some plastic to clean up and paint.......

yeah i ve saw the turbos and all. I have nt really found a way for the bottom end to handle all the stress. Got the alcohol motor fired up this morning before i went to work. i think my cam duration isnt ramped up enough. Might abandon the alcohol and focus on nitrous. I am having a new thumb throttle machined out now so it can accept a button to activate the 2 pound nitrous bottle. I have been thinking of doing direct port injection instead of using a fogger in the intake. either way a good 3-4 second burst of nitrous should be a hell of a ride.

i used a regular staple gun with 3/8 staples i think. dont use a black and decker powershot they suck. also keep a small tacking hammer handy. sometimes the staples dont penatrate in far enough.

My old 230 is still sittin up at the dealer! They just relisted it on Craigslist! The racks are definitely not going to help them get $1600.

1986 Suzuki LT 230S

Anyone interested in a nice wheeler with a few hidden problems??

Hey, im new here, well not new ive lurked the site forever reading a lot of things but i just decided to join up and post today.... Ive got 4 LT230S's one of them im doing a complete rebuild on....

I just got the frame powdercoated neon electric blue, ive got LT250S front suspension on it, LT250S Pegs and brake lever since theyre a lot wider than the stock 230 pegs. Now the point that i run into a question is with the motor. I have a complete 230 Motor and a Complete 250 motor... I know the 250 will bolt right into the frame, but ive been told that the 250 cylinder matched with the 230's stroke will make a 273?? But i believe the wrist pin diameter is bigger on the 250, so i wont be able to just swap the top ends around.... Or am i completely wrong?

Also i know a HUGE weak point of the quadsports is the chain coming off and hitting the stator cover. I know people found ways to add chain tensioners but they just didnt cut it for me. I added a nylon chain guide to the swingarm from a yamaha blaster.... Best mod ive ever done and havent had a problem with the chain since, once i figure out how, i'll post pics of the chainguide.

Ok here are the pics, hopefully they work. This is on my trail bike so please excuse the way it looks, theres tons of rocks, trees and mud so its hard to keep it looking good. But anyways, heres some pics of the chain guide i made and front and rear bumpers.
