This is the chain I wanted, but couldn't see spending $75 on a chain that will wear out a couple times a year, lol

520MRDL: Our Smallest, Lightest 520 Motocross Chain
The entire Factory Connection Honda 125 team uses the ulltralight, ultrastrong 520MRDL. But it's not just a great MX chain; road racer Rich Oliver used the 520MRDL in winning the 2003 AMA 250 Grand Prix Championship.
Recommended application: 125cc (2-stroke) or 250cc (4-stroke), up to 45hp
EK Motorcycle & ATV Chain

That chain weighs 2.84lbs per 100 links. A typical o-ring chain will be pushing 4lbs and sometimes more.

Thanks a bunch you 2. Just wanted to make sure I didn't over-do the torque. Know it wasn't good to over-do it on my other atv, wanted to make sure it was the same here

That 400 of yours has too much power to spare... you're cheatin!

What's your email? PM it or something

I'll become really concerned about you when you're cutting speed holes in the soles of your shoes!

No need to "cut" them!

P.S. I know, I made the paint job to shallow. Didn't make it thick enough >.<

If you go with a non-o-ring (is that right w/ 3 dashes??) chain, you're going to have to keep it lubricated rather than just relying on the o-rings to keep the grease inside. IMO, you can't beat an o-ring chain. BUT if you're crazy about milking every little bit of power out of the 230, go with the non-o-ring chain.

Also, I was going to go with 13/39 w/ 22 inch tires on mine, but I found out that the Bike Bandit case saver I had on there wouldn't work with the 13 tooth front, it was too big. And the case saver was too important to take off.
What do the case savers actually do? I took mine off to fit my 13 tooth sprocket and didn't think I needed it.

is there any other way of boosting the compression ratio up? I got a high compression Weisco piston but i think i heard of doing away with the base gasket for the jug.

How many links should my chain be with a 12/39 or 13/39 gear combs? I ve tried the 12/39 but my stock length chain was way too long.

That's a pretty clean looking wheeler, and not a bad custom camo IMO. Are the foot pegs just round tube??

Case savers will help protect your case from getting cracked if the chain does come off or break at some point. That's why you see so many people asking about mag covers on here, their chain came off and cracked it. They're not a cheap part either.

The case saver isn't a 100% fix, but it will hopefully dampen most of the blow if not all of it.
