i have a 86 230 quadrunner and i just rebuilt the top end and it ticks while running im pretty sure that it did before the build but i had no muffler on it before the build so i culdnt really hear it

Adjust valves. more than likely valve clearance too big

whats the easiest way to do that without bending a valve?

So my cousin had a carb problem on his new quad so I went out there to look at it yesterday. They call it the beast for a reason. It's got a 750cc street bike engine in the damn thing. It has a Polaris front A-arms and shocks, and rear end from some other ATV. The rest of the frame is home made. It's not pretty, the plastics are too small for it since its so big, but its fast as hell. With 6 speeds and a redline of 12000+ RPM's, it will do over 100 easily. I think the original owner built it for racing, and then someone decided it would be cool to throw dirt tires on it and trial ride it. Definitely not a good idea!

It's not the greatest pic, I'll have to have him send me a side shot so you can get the full effect of how long and beastly it is. You can easily fit 3 riders on the thing, the seat needs to be extended to cover the frame.
