Its a very small town, and im a local so i could probably talk my way out of a ticket, but i would like to just avoid a situation where i would have to do that lol. any ideas to quiet her down short of putting on a different exhaust? what kind of materials can i pack in there and not hurt performance?
Ever build speaker boxes? Bigger is better. The more sound you can contain inside the box, the louder it will be outside the box. And you can stuff boxes and make the speaker "think" the box is bigger, but too much stuffing and you're just taking up room inside the box. Same with exhausts. To be quieter, you're gonna have to get a bigger canister. Changing stuffing to this or that will make such a small difference, it wouldn't be worth it.

You might try a baffle at the tail of the muffler. Try holding your hand over the exhaust while revving it and see if it gets quieter. You might rig something up to get you through town and then take it off to ride.

Would this yamaha blaster shifter work?

Also, I'm looking for a descompression cable if anyone has an extra. Also, how much would you want for it?

Yup, the limit is when the rod breaks

I don't know for sure, but I don't think they do. I thought I was churning a lot of rpms once until I missed a gear... nope, it goes much higher

I don't know if it will fit or be too long. It looks long to me. That's the problem with hooking the lever directly to the tranny without the linkages... the lever is so short, shifting is hard on your foot.

On the cable... check out bicycle cables at walmart.

Hey guys check this out? Really cheap shocks. Do you think they may be off an lt250s from 1990. It says lt230s 1990 in the ad, but there is no way that they can be from 1990.

Beware Blaster Shifter Linkage. I bought one for an 87 brand new ($15 including rubber). The spline count was different. Ones fine and the other is course. Dont ask me because off hand I dont remember which is which, but there is a distinct difference. The shifter I think is the perfect length for me. I ride in alot of muck and wear big boots. I find the stock shifter is a bit short to get my big boot under in a hurry. If I ever find a blaster shifter with the correct spline count to match my suzuki, then I'll be able to know for sure.

ive got an old DG RCM pipe on mine. its aluminum and has no rust but after 15 years of use the mount has broken from vibration and ive had to make a metal bracket to reinforce it. some others on here have put on a slip on pipe and others have taken a pipe from another bike and modified it to fit.
