I've been planning on buying a new Honda TRX 450r, but latley i have had several people tell me that the Suzuki LTZ 450 is the way to go. Personally i'm a honda fan, but i'd rather have the more superior quad. Which one is the better sport quad, and why?

 

well to start out with its a LTR-450 and it is bader that the ol' honda. but it depends on what type of riding you like to do remember they don't have reverse but the new kawi does. the suzuki is wider and more stable. and its EFI. i love mine. check out the pix

 

Stock for stock the 450s generally go rank in the following order.
Speed: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki.
Handling: Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda.

The Suzuki handles better but the Honda is faster. However it's cheaper to make the Suzuki faster than it is to make the Honda handle better.

 

i happen to own both the trx450r and the lt450r. right off the bat you ll notice the honda is a lot more cushy to ride. the seat foam on the honda is way better. the honda also seems to have more torque. but after the cherry bomb and taking off the spark arrestor. ther bpretty even.

 

id rather have the honda for trail, but for racing ide take the zuki

 

ya i agree with 4wheelerfred. the zuki is better than the honda if u gonna do racing, its handling is better. so you will feel more in control. but hey its all personal preference. my opinion is that they are both good bikes and u'll be happy with any of them

 

I asked a mechanic. He said he'd rather wrench on a honda over the zuki.
I'm a honda guy also, but would consider the zuki. BOTH great machines.

 

Both have their +/-'s....... EFI is todays news and carbs are yesterdays news.. It's like asking should I buy a 400ex or a Z400.. Air vs water and same scenario..

 

For $40 you can make the Suzuki just as fast as the Yamaha and the Honda. It has much better handling is just a better all around quad. The reviews speak for themselves.

 

I was in about the same place as you and went with the honda with the red frame and flame graphics check out my pics...I liked both but my deciding factor was that I wanted to be able to fit through tighter trails and the Honda felt more comfortable to me but both are really nice quads...If you are getting a Honda though get it from 06 and on as they changed alot compared to the 04/05 versions...Just watch I have heard that Suzuki has frame trouble so be careful but either way you choose is a good choice or wait for the gas gas 450 or can am 450 which are supposed to be really nice also before you spend your money.
