In almost all cheap revboxs all you will get is a small increase in the rev limit and will not notice any power increase unless the motor has been tuned for the top end.
The reason it will work for the LTZ50 is its standard limit is set VERY conservatively and needs the extra revs to get to its peak power .

yeah you're right, instead of buying another cdi,I think i'll just focus on the air/fuel/exhaust when the kid is ready to go faster. He is actually pretty happy, but I on the other hand feel like this thing is somewhat of a rip-off.I don't know why Suzuki could'nt have allowed a little more power so that we would actually use the throttle limiter.LOL

Sorry all for taking so long to reply,we just got back from a weekend at Hatfeild and Mcoy .
There was no jet mods done the only other thing we did was drill a 1/2 hole in the baffle in the exhaust pipe but that was done in the early stages of tring to get it to run. You will need a longer chain to change sprockets.
After the weekend of riding the mountains of WV only ran out of power once. Granted these are some hills we would not let him ride down himself without having him tided off to another bike to lower him down the max speed was set to 16mph going up most ever hill it never dropped below 5 mph. The little guy ran over 70miles in 2 day so he is one tried little guy.I have a cool video to post one of these days of him going thru high water, which created another problem of a crankcase full of water.Still going to change the front sprocket if an d when it ever comes in.
Always glad to help with anything I can

I'm new to this forum and I've read it start to finish. I work at a Suzuki dealer and just purchased one of these units. I just like all of you was borderline disgusted with the power of this thing. I had the luxury of bringing home the LTZ 90 c.d.i box. It definately works. The box from CT racing still has some bugs to be worked out. The rep from there told me it was causing units to shut off depending on the year of the unit. Regardless, the rev-limiter of the 90 c.d.i. is right were it needs to be. With no shut-off symptoms. I installed a clamp-on filter, upped the main jet 3 sizes, drilled a hole in the exhaust, and played with the plugged air/fuel screw. I also took three of the rollers out, and it is not the same quad. In a drag race, the 06 Kawasaki 2 stroke 50 will beat it, but not by much. With six-rollers in, the four-stroke is faster than the two stroke on top-end. It takes a while to get there however. Keep in mind that there are very few four-strokes that will run with a two-stroke of the same cc. And chances are, it's the dads running these things up and down the road not the six-year old there intended four. Two-strokes are becoming extinct. It's a shame the next generation won't be able to feel the hit of a 250r, quadracer, T-4 etc. I know most of this info is not new, but I wanted to share my experience and say thanks for all the info so I didn't have to go into this project blind.
