The exhaust mods mentioned worked ok but an aftermarket was definately the way to go for me. There is a restrictor in the exhaust pipe too. It's located at the head where the pipe bolts up to the motor. My new CT pipe is larger and flows much better. True it is a bit pricey but I think it was worth it. I'm not sure if this was posted in here or not but there is also a plug (set screw) in the carburetor on the secondary jet. You would have to remove the jet and you will see it . You may want to try that before going to rejet it. Especially if you haven't changed the exhaust out yet.

I did a step by step picture show a few pages back on the CT Racing upgrades. You can view it through flikr.com I've done all the upgrades mentioned in this forum including the CT kit and have to tell you it's got some PUNCH now! The real test will be in three weeks when we go to Glamis.

This is great news lowlife. So you have the K&N, CT Racing Pipe, CT Racing Jets and? do you have CDI and 3 rollers removed also? It is good to know it has more punch! Is it a huge difference over stock?

So with all the stuff you have done, you lost top end over stock? how fast do you think it goes now? most people were saying you could get them into the mid 20s? I know they do about 15mph stock.

I think you lose top end when you take out the rollers. Im not going to take mine out until I have done everything else first.

I lost top end over stock settings with the rollers out. Not from all the other mods. Those actually woke up the little bike. I'm not sure of top speed now that all the mods are done. I'll have to have my son ride along side my buddy's rhino and see.

Let's recap shall we......
Free power mods - remove restrictor in clutch (1/4 in thick washer)
while clutch is apart, remove 3 of the 6 rollers (gives bike better take off/low end)
Take carburetor apart and remove idle jet. underneath idle jet is a set screw (plug) remove and reinstall idle jet
If drilling out stock exhaust, remove exhaust from engine and take out restrictor (1/4 thick washer between head and pipe)

Power mods that cost $$$ - K&N air filter with outer wear cover (K&N # R-1040 ,IS FILTER 25.99 AND # 22-8008PK ,THE WRAP,13.99 )
Stock LTZ90 CDI Box ($210) or Dynatek CDI Box $175.00 debatable as to which is better
Assorted main and idle jets (good luck with this one)
FMF exhaust ($175 depends on where you order from)
CTRacing power up kit (with filter outerwears jets and pipe $375.95)
(with pipe and jets $329.95)
Re gear sprocket $???? not sure if worth it or not.

Companies that supply parts
CTRacing.com
DennisKirk.com
Rockymountainatv.com

People feel free to add to this list.

Thanks for doing this up, I started doing something similar last night, just for those coming in to it.

I am beginning to think I should just leave the rollers alone and do the other stuff, to keep the top end?
