WHOA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT ORDER A 415-48 through the internet that is the wrong part # that is for a 520 chain !!!!!

CAll and make your orders.. The part # is 483z-415-48

Titan Tough take 7-10 to build before shipping the website has not been updated so i order the standard aluminum...

Call up Sprocket Specialist people there are really helpful and know there stuff...</end quote></div>

My part # on my receipt says 415-48. Yes I would call and specify what year quad you have. Like I said a few pages back, they did not even know Suz began making a 415 chain pitch, it was completely new to them, it wasn't even in thier records. So when I called to explain to them all the info they were able to send me the correct one. I also put out not to order the 483-48 because that came back to a 420 pitch. So that 483z-415-48 must be a completely new part number. Believe me, I wouldn't try to steer anyone in the wrong direction. All this info has been very valuable to me. Good training though.....

Lastly, I cut the chain at 87 links (88 total with the master link). With it completely loosened, it barely comes off, so you may have to remove the master if you ever need to remove the chain. If you go 89 links (90 w/the master) you may not be able to tighten the chain where you want it when you're adjusting it.</end quote></div>

Hey Ride so if I go with 88 links, 89 with the master, do you think that would put the chain at the right length?</end quote></div>

EdKatt,

I cut the chain at 87 links. When I put the master link on to finish it it's 88. It appeared that if there were anymore, it wouldn't tighten up properly when adjusting it. It's working great so far.

I think with a compression ratio of 8.4:1..it could be bumped up for sure...11:1 would be nice</end quote></div>

I just checked on the compression ratio for a 2008 Honda Metropolitan with a 49cc four stroke. It's 12:1 compared to the LT Z50 at 8.4:1.

My wifes Honda makes plenty of power for what it is. It leads me to believe that milling the head might be an important step in waking up the LT Z50.

The mechanic at the dealership suggested it right away, but the service manager shot it down. I should have listened to the mechanic. He said the dealership could have done the job for one hour of labor plus machine shop charges. The total bill would have been less than $100.00.

Live and learn.

i love the bump in compression.............compression = torque, i would do it again with a quickness........25.00 in machine work 10.00 in gaskets.......you can have the head off in like 10 minutes...........if you are handy youd be able to save some money and do it yourself.....i have the service manual if you have any questions.......the head gets torqued to 10 lb ft in a criss cross pattern valve adjustment is .002 intake and .006 exhaust....EZ JOB.

just put the fmf pipe on last night this thing screams on top end......goes to the 7500 rpm limiter no problem, never would before with modded stock pipe. great fit and finish highly recommended

50RACER....thats alot of money to sink into a ltz50..........ive done a buttload of work to make my sons faster and a stock drr 50 will out run it all day.......id check out drr50 or the apex long travel 50 if your seriously chasing points, they both are two strokes, 40+ inches wide disc brakes and are more of a race bike than you can ever make the zuki........this season my son is 4 and we are mostly racing youth events for seat time, over the winter we will be buying the drr to race for points</end quote></div>

Thanks for the info. I get wrapped up in projects. My son is small and the DRR seams bigger when they are next to each on the track. I would love to get him one in the future if he can control it. I have a two week old boy that can grow into the Suzuki then.
