You can change that sprocket but you still wont notice a big difference until you replace that cdi.</end quote></div>
I understand that. I am not trying to increase the top speed. I'm fine with the rev limiter. I want the thing to crawl well.

It does more than just increase the top speed. When its crawling through some thick mud or sand or at a good incline, you will benefit from more than 5000 rpm's.</end quote></div>
I have a three year old daughter who'll be learning on it soon. My two older kids will get an 80cc machine to blast around on. This one needs to be able to go slow and steady. When she gets a little more capable I might consider the ignition upgrade. Until then I'm not going to do it.
We have terraced pastures, and the kids like to stop halfway or two thirds up the terraces and then start again. I don't know why but they do. Traction isn't an issue. They just need more low end power.

The new CDI from CT has multiple settings so you can limit the rpms..or return it to stock with a flip of a switch under the seat...a nice feature if you putting a newbie on it

When we was running with the stock cdi it worked just as well as the 90 box as far as power, however it was on the rev limiter as so as he was on the throttle.(drove me nuts hearing that think sputter) It took him all of 5 minutes and he was begging to make it go faster again. But it climbed the hills just fine, in fact the one hill he even pulled the front off the ground.
But as far as speed for the nebies you can always set it down withthe throttle screw. Never ran it withthe 43 tooth so I can't give you a comparison between the two, sorry
