How long does it take to get a 43 and a 48 tooth sprocket? Has anyone made A-Arm extensions with shock upgrades? How about nerf bars?</end quote></div>

Took three days for me. They're in California.

What's a red sticker restriction?</end quote></div>

In california.....copied from dmv site

Red and Green Stickers

California Air Resources Board (ARB) established regulations to limit the use of Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) that do not meet emission standards applicable for California OHV riding areas. After the regulations were established, ARB and DMV worked together to develop criteria for identifying non-complying OHVs. OHVs are registered by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). A red or green sticker is issued depending upon certain criteria.

Green stickers are issued for all California OHVs year model 2002 and older, including those that were previously issued a red sticker, and to 2003 and newer complying vehicles. Green stickers are issued to OHVs for year round use at all California OHV riding areas.

Red stickers are issued to 2003 year model and newer OHVs that are not certified to California OHV emission standards. If your OHV has a "3" or "C" in the eighth position of the vehicle identification number (VIN) then your vehicle will be issued a red sticker. Red stickers are issued to OHVs that can use California OHV riding areas for seasonal use only

Some OHVs do not meet emission standards applicable for California OHV riding areas as outlined in California Air Resources Board Regulations and therefore are restricted to use in limited areas and certain times of the year. These vehicles are issued a red OHV plate. The center stripe is white with the month and year in dark blue.

All other OHVs are issued a green plate which has a dark blue center stripe with a white month and year.</end quote></div>

Good Grief, I can't believe the people out there stand for that kind of garbage. It's the voters that let that happen. Sheesh! I feel sorry for you guys.

415-48 Sprocket for the 48t spockets would you happen to have the

# for the 43t spocket i really don't want to lose anything up top....

But this thing is a slug from a stand still to full throttle...

Is it a 415-43 for $62.99?????

i'm never gonna ride in the sand in the bronx or NJ so i think i want to go with the middle spocket 43t.....</end quote></div>

Go bigger! Actually if we didn't have any hills our 43 tooth sprocket would be very adequate.

My official review of the C.T. Racing Pipe

The exhaust pipe for the Suzuki LT Z50 by C.T. Racing is officially a big disappointment. Many of you already know this. I had to learn the hard way. I will admit that the pipe does provide some benefit, but for the price of $325.00 it's not worth it - in my opinion.

After I installed the pipe with stock jetting and a stock air box my son was able to start from a complete stop on an incline that previously did not allow him to do so.

Last night I installed the K&N filter and the #22.5 and #75 jets that C.T. racing provided with the pipe. I had my son start and stop on the same incline, and I could not detect any additional improvement in low end power.

The gains that I received by switching to a 43 tooth sprocket far exceed what I gained from the pipe, jetting and K&N filter. Unless you need bleeding edge performance do not buy the C.T. Racing pipe for the Suzuki LT Z50.

The pipe, jets and K&N filter might provide some top end benefits that I'm not seeing because I have not modified the ignition, nor do I intend to. When my kids need more speed they'll get a bigger machine. However the pipe does make the LTZ50 sound like a big thumper.

If I were starting from scratch I'd:

remove the spark arrestor
install at least a 48 tooth sprocket
maybe mill the head .015 (well under $100.00)
that's it!

My wife has a 49cc Honda Metropolitan with a 4 stroke. It produces plenty of power. One day soon I want to locate the spark plug (In three years I've never seen it.) and check the compression, then compare that number to the LT Z50. My guess is the Metropolitan has higher compression. If there is a significant difference I might mill the head on the Suzuki.

I don't think I want to remove the three rollers without doing the ignition mod. I'm afraid I'll lose what little top end that it currently has.

A 48 or 50 tooth sprocket will be arriving soon.

I've been hard on Ct Racing. To their credit I feel that I should write something positive. The pipe that I received was very well built. It's attractive and it sounds great. If Ct Racing's goal was to get the Suzuki LT Z50 to breath better and to burn more gas I'd have to say that they succeeded. It's not their fault that Suzuki built such a pitiful machine. It's a shame that the bike isn't more responsive to more air and gas.

I think with a compression ratio of 8.4:1..it could be bumped up for sure...11:1 would be nice

8.4:1 Yeah I think there is room for improvement. I didn't know what the ratio was.

thanks
