Suzuki lt230 problem

Also, a Blaster won't be much, if at all faster than the 230, since its only 196cc or something like that, and its also a 2-stroke. And the Blaster will be just as poor at jumping as the 230.
Both of your problems seem like they could be fixed with a carb tuning, so what I'd do if I were you is take it to my dealer, spend a $100 bucks or so and have them adjust it. Then you'll be good to go for summer.

blasters are CHEAP CRAP! just look at the cable actuated brakes!!! haha wtf is this, 1975??? my friend has a BUILT blaster, and my 230 has no problem keeping up with it, and still keeps it off in a drag until the blaster hits 6th.
blasters also handle like shopping carts full of immigrants. the stock shocks are just as bad, and blasters actually have quite a bit less travel, too.
there is no good reason to replace a 230 for a blaster, no reason whatsoever.
if you have 1250 to spend, you could easily build that 230 to be quite a respectable machine.
