^Ya your out in the boonies lol

I finished the clutch today and torqued them to 8flbs. using a REAL torque wrench when they actually used to be a wrench with no clicks, now they are more less torque ratchets.

This is the gasket, not in horrible shape I am going to try to fix it up with some of this gasket seal I got at work, it is only ripped on the outer edges of the bolts anyway.

Then I found a few stripped bolt holes on the engine block that do not tighten down enough. So I went back to work...and got some of this Perma-Coil to fix it correctly (besides having it welded, drilled out and re-tapped)

When I originally went to buy oil with my grandfather we went to Walmart and I asked him if Walmart brand vs. name brand made a difference he said no sooo I bought that handle of SuperTECH for around $8 and soaked the clutch in it. Then the guys at work tell me the opposite and that a small engine grinds the oil faster because of the high RPMs so I should have good oil in it which makes sense so for about $12 a quart I bought Mobil1 Racing 4T at work $6 each with my discount. They also recommend some of that blue fuel treatment to help with sticky valves and crap in the engine because I don't have time to rebuild the block (I think it was previously done)

You don't want to use car motor oil in your clutch. You can use a ATF type f but the best stuff is like the mobil 1 stuff you got. I have a barnette kit I'm about to put in my quadracer. So the five clutch bolts you torq to 8lbs? And ah yea man I'm a little to far away from ya to make a deal lol! Looks like your quad is coming along!

Whats a Barnette kit? What I really need is to find an lt250 axle for my quad. I ordered some grips today, a throttle cable and a top cap for my carb where the cable connects to it I noticed is missing and had a mcrigged piece in it. I'm guna have to try to bang out the flat spots in my rims and see if they will hold a bead.

Oopsent Barnett. It's just an aftermarket clutch kit mine is slipping. But it could have been my ATF type f I just put in. But I have a kit anyway so might as put it in for more power to the ground!

You might as well

Today I determined that 3 of the bolt holes on the crank case cover needed to be replaced, so I drilled them out and re-tapped them. Then I screwed in this perma/heala coil and bam instant strong crank down threads!

Then I cut off any ripped edges of bolt holes on the gasket, marked where they were missing and applied gasket sealer to the block. Installed the gasket and tightened it down.

I made some good use of that rust remover and applied it to the inside as far as I could, then wire brushed it believe me those little chips are not getting sucked in so there is no need in chiseling them off. Then I hit it with a light coat of primer to prevent future rusting.

Here is the air filter basket after a few more coats of rust remover. I also sprayed this with a light coat of primer or it will rust right back up being stripped metal.

Looking good! Hey on your clutch assembly. The rod coming out of the clutch onthe outside without the five bolts. Is there a clip on there holding it on to prevent it from spinning around? Mine spins and is loose I just put in new plates haveto bolt the cover on tomorrow.

Not sure what you mean, on the inside of the cover?

The stem the is in the middle of the five bolts. Does that have a snap clip at the base of it?
