Assuming they are in acceptable condition (no major issues, run, titles, etc) what is your opinion on these? The price dropped recently and I'm tempted, I don't need them both but the 250 caught my eye for the wifey. I would probably buy as a package and sell the 400 off since I don't need it.

called the number yesterday and it's on consignment. The guy who answered really couldn't give me any information other than what is in the ad. Said "The owner says the 250 needs about a hundred and fifty dollars of work." I'm assuming this could mean a good cleaning and basic tune up. I may go up (it's in a mountain community) this Saturday to try and swing a deal. I'll have to convince the wife that this is a better way to spend our Saturday than going to Vegas wish me luck!

 

That would be like paying a little extra for the 400, but getting the 250 free.

Does look like an early (pre 05) 400. If it's an 03, take a good look at the frame. That year only they had some issues with weakness at the weld spots.
