Do you have any proof it doesn't? "I" never said it did, I got those numbers from what the ATV Connection listed, and what the Polaris Dealer website stated. If you do the math you will come up with 62HP.

i went to the quad dealer after school today, the 800 is rated by Polaris Industries Corporation of 62 Horse Power at the crankshaft and 54 at the wheels. The mods that are currently out for the 800 can boost its power all the way into the 80's.

Spider, How did your dealer come up with those numbers? I called my dealer since my title is missing that info and called polaris customer service and no one could find any numbers for me. My dealer said he would make some calls and try and get the crank numbers but had never herd of polaris publishing RW numbers. I can tell you form my experince those RW numbers are very unrealistic. The crank nubers I can go along with but if thats all it does at the crank then 54hp at the wheels is not going to happen. You need to be in the 80's at the crank to get in the 50's at the wheels. That would mean its RW HP is similar to my Fourstroke tech powered 800 twin peaks, and since I own both I know thats not even remotely realistic.

he had this booklet with a big giant sticker "licenced to polaris industries corporation" and it had all the info on the 800 on the new clutch system for it and everything and he flipped to the back to the index looked for specs found the page, turned to the page and under 760CC's and the bore specs it gave the power readings, i didnt get a chance to ask about the torque as i had to go home and let the dogs out before they 'exploded'

You loose about 40% from the crank to the rear wheels in a cvt tranny. So if the 800 has 62 at the crank that would give it about 37hp at the wheels.

I got the Dyno results today, these results are from the quad bone stock form

it has a peak HP 34.58 HP at the rear wheels
max torque = 56.48
top speed on the dyno was recorded at 71 MPH

Actual real world top speeds are normaly about 4-6 mph slower than dyno testing indicates

No surprises here same results as vegasdude had with his.

Ya, I was pleased with the numbers. They were about what I expected. Just for comparison sake here are the numbers off my other quads.

The 800 is running 51HP & 72#'s of TQ (FST Twin Peaks 800)
The 700 is running 38HP & 59#'s of TQ (added a dyno jet kit was running 33HP and 55#'s of TQ)
STK 700 is running 32HP & 52#'s of TQ (I had a buddy's stock STP700 tested to get a base for comparison)
The 650 is running 33HP & 56#'s of TQ (same modds as my 700 less the new jet kit, The CDI made the biggest difference on this quad)

It seems most of the twins out there put out very similar numbers.
