the archer,

I have a 2000 King Quad 300 and want to put bigger more aggressive tires on it, what did you put on your KQ and what type of power loss if any did you have

I have 27 vampires on my rubicon... I also had them on my old 97 foreman 400 (except those were 25's).. If you a AWESOME mudding tire and ALOT of bite all around... go with the vampires.. If you do alot of trail riding go with the (4) 26-10-12 titans... or whatever size of them fits ur stock rims... i would go with the skinny 10's if u do alot of trail riding.

2001 rubicon: (27-10-12) vamps... 2 warn 2500's... snorkel... magnum billet rims... HL performance kit (when it comes out)... heated grips...

The 589s are great mud tire and a all around tire for the simple fact on hard pack it has a great center tred pattern for a smother ride. Very little vibration.Look for a tire with a tread pattern with a close inline center tread.

ROMAN- Hey, I see you're pretty close to my neck of the woods...
I'm assuming you have 11" rims since you said Outlaws won't fit... I would think that the Outlaws would do better in the mud than the Vamps, but I'm not sure if it would make up for the price diffference for new rims....Normally I would say Outlaws, but considering the rims, I would say go with Vampires, thats what 90% of the mud riders around here run. If you don't wanna make the drive to Shreveport to Highlifter, I would recomend going to C&R Offroad in Bastrop, I got my tires there and they seem pretty friendly and knowledgeable.
PS- Ever ridden at Lock 6 or Three Beach right on the LA/AR border? Pretty good riding there, we ride there alot in the spring and summer, just waitin' for the Ouachita to go down enough to get down there now...
