Anyone down here ever ridden / camped at Bakers Camp on the hiway to Tillamook?
Thinking of heading there this summer and wondering what it's like.

Did you put that twist throttle on it?
I kinda like that, but might want to try it out a little more before deciding if I wanted to go that way.

Oh ya,

Final verdict on Rene', the gal that crashed.
She's been in the hospital since she came home, will be until Sunday or Monday.
2 broken wrists, both required surgery. Pins and screws.
Broken knee, going to require a screw or two to the head of the tibia.
2 broken ribs..
The wrist they casted in Richland swelled up (duh!!!) bone came through the skin.
They didn't catch the broken knee or ribs at the hospital in Richland.
She is in great spirits, but gonna take a while to heal.

 

Ah, its actually Browns Camp. Yeah, its a great place to ride and to camp. The spaces are all gravel, but there are restrooms there and the trails are great! Be sure to pick up a map of the area from the State Forestry Department as it is easy to get lost up there! And carry extra fuel if you venture far. This is not close to services or highways to walk out for help. So ride with buddies and learn the area before you venture too far. GPS is strongly suggested.

Thanks for the invite Pat! Unfortunately, (or fortunately however you want to look at it) we will be leaving for St. Anthony late Sun eve. We will be coming back the following Sat, so hopefully some time after that later this summer we can hook up for another ride! Last time was pretty fun, and I really enjoyed riding with you and Bear! I won't be down there for Dunefest, but I do plan on making several trips to the dunes throughout the year! Please keep us updated on future rides! I'd love to hhok up with you and Bear again!
