ridin, I agree with MWF, probably just soaked packing in the silencer. Same thing happened to my friend and has oil on the back of his jersey as well. My guess is that a drop of oil comes out the pikes contacts the tire (which is spinning up on the back side) and splatters the oil onto the back of the jersey. THe one who had the problem ran the wrong oil one time and it did it ever since then.

Are you running freshly mixed pre-mix? Another person I know said he was having problems with a particular pre-mix falling out of suspension if it sat for a while and was costing him top ends. If the oil was starting to coagulate (not sure on the spelling...thicken up in clumps) maybe they could be kicked out, but of course they should be obsorbed by the packing. I would say check the packing. If it's soaked, replace it, if needed. If there's none there, pack it (more power). If it's fine, well, leave it alone.

I don't think I'm going to prarie city - I work acrss the freeway from it and it hailed so hard today. Its going to be very muddy...
I hate cleaning mud off for three hours after a ride.

LJ, Back form Pismo already? How was it?

Were gonna go at the end of FEB. Probably gonna take the trailer down and camp..

 

Yea, getting up that early[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] for a day trip makes for a long day. We've done it a few times. Riding is nice[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] but it's really tiring[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

Ahh you just missed me....I left around 2 PM on Friday and we had a blast! A little muddy and the girlfriend tipped my buddy's brand new DS on a hill....a few hundred for some bars and a steering stem later...... but the weather could not have been any better yesterday afternoon and today was especially beautiful... We'll be in Glamis for 3 days Feb 18-21 if anybody wants to meet up there....
